In his book Sculpting in Time, russian film director Andrey Tarkovsky (1932-1986) reflects upon Time as a necessary condition for the existence of the “I”, commenting between the relationship between Time, memory, and Art. Esculturas is born from an internal dialogue around these issues. It is a work of introspection and contemplation, a riddle of memories and gestures that dilute themselves into a sculpture of Time.
